The movie, Tangled, was a cute, Walt Disney movie. It was about a girl named Rapunzel who had a big dream about witnessing a light show from the kingdom. In the end, after a long journey, she fulfills this dream. This Walt Disney movie may have been a movie intended for little kids, but it had a strong message. The message was, dreams are important.
Whether it's climbing Mount Everest or being the MVP of the NBA, everyone has a dream. A true dream is something that people will work very hard to achieve. People will work so hard, that they will almost do anything to achieve it. In the movie, Rapunzel risked getting caught by her "mother" in order to fulfill her dream.
Along with work, people have got to want to accomplish his or her dream. If accomplishing their life long dream isn't desired, people will not put in the work to accomplish this goal. The lack of work to fulfill their dream will then make accomplishing it close to impossible. Now that you know you have to want to accomplish your dream, you now know that fulfilling your dream is entirely up to you. Nobody else can tell you that you have to work. You're the one that has to decide to put the work in.
Tangled sent an important message to its viewers. Dreams are important to people. People have to be dedicated and willing to take extra steps in order to achieve their goal. Also, you are the one to decide if you want it or not. Others pushing you to be something you want to be is not enough. Now, it is your time to decide. Do you want to fulfill your dream?
This is a really good treatment of the movie. Your voice is academic, and appropriate for the form. Well done.
ReplyDeleteYour thesis was nice and made perfect sense. I thought you could relate to the movie a little more when talking about fulfilling your dreams. Still i liked this response though.
ReplyDeleteI like how you ended with a question, asking the reader about their dreams.
